What is real estate photo editing?
Real estate photo editing is the correction of listing photos after they are taken: exposure, colour, white balance, clarity and straight lines. Some services also stage rooms, replace skies or remove objects. Framelift changes light, white balance, windows, colour and detail only; nothing in the property is added, removed, moved or restyled.

What is the difference between photo enhancement and virtual staging?
Photo enhancement improves how a photo was taken: light, white balance, windows, colour and detail. Virtual staging changes what the photo shows by adding furniture or decor digitally. In California, CRMLS requires virtually staged photos to be labelled and placed next to the unaltered original. Framelift does enhancement only.

Are you allowed to edit real estate listing photos?
Generally, corrections to light and colour are accepted and edits that change the property are not. CRMLS in California allows lighting, white balance, colour and exposure adjustments that do not change how the property is represented. NSW Fair Trading says adjusting lighting to compensate for poor lighting may be acceptable. Check your own MLS or regulator.

Does Airbnb check that listing photos are accurate?
Airbnb's help centre describes a photo accuracy check: hosts visit the listing and take new photos in the Airbnb app to match what is listed. It says it does not ask hosts to verify every photo. Its ground rules also say it will ask hosts to remove content edited to hide flaws or add amenities.

Should I edit my listing photos or book a new shoot?
Edit when the photos show the right rooms and angles but the light, colour or exposure is poor. Book a new shoot when rooms are missing, the furniture or decor has changed, or the photos are too small or blurred to use. Editing improves the photos you have; it can't add what was never photographed.

What is a walk-through video made from photos?
It is a short video built from still listing photos that moves through the property one photo at a time. It is not a filmed tour, so nobody needs to visit with a camera. Framelift makes a 25 to 40 second walk-through video from your enhanced photos and includes it with every photo pack.

What do HDR editing, twilight editing and sky replacement mean?
HDR editing blends several exposures of one shot so that bright windows and dark corners both show detail. Twilight editing turns a daytime exterior into a dusk scene. Sky replacement swaps the real sky for another one. Framelift does not do twilight edits or sky replacement, because both change what the photo shows.

What size are vertical video ads for Facebook and Instagram?
Vertical ads use a 9:16 aspect ratio. Meta's Ads Guide for Instagram Reels video ads lists 9:16, MP4 or MOV files and 1440 x 2560 pixels, and suggests keeping about the top 14% and bottom 35% of the frame free of text and logos. Framelift's ads are 9:16 and about 30 seconds long.

What is AI-assisted photo editing?
AI-assisted photo editing uses software models to make corrections such as light, white balance, windows, colour and detail. The risk is that a model also changes what the photo shows. Framelift uses AI-assisted editing and checks every photo against its original before delivery; nothing in the property is added, removed, moved or restyled.

Who runs the ads when Framelift makes them?
You do. Framelift makes the video ad creatives, 3 new ones every week, and you upload them and run them in your own ad account. We don't set budgets, choose audiences or manage campaigns, and we don't promise clicks or sales.
